Essie - East Hampton Cottage

It is still dark and rainy over here....so the pictures are murky again.....
I was in need of a neutral polish this time and I reached for Essie's East Hampton Cottage. EHC is described as a pale pearly warm pink....but my bottle is a pale pearly beige. Thank god it is not an in your face pearly pearl but a more subtle non streaking kind (more of a soft shimmer..?).
I needed three coats to get it even and opaque. It is a very nice neutral but nothing really special, the formula is OK but not fabulous, the colour we all have seen before and the finish is very neutral as well.
Take a look for yourself:

OPI - My Paprika is Hotter than Yours! (OPI Euro Centrale Spring/Summer Collection 2013)

Wow, I can not believe I did not buy and wear this polish any sooner...it took me a whole year!
OPI My Paprika is Hotter than Yours! is a fab colour: it is a reddish orange or and orange toned red creme.....with slight pearl shimmer (in a good way). It is a very hot and happy colour, yet it stays very classy and chique as well. As mentioned there is some pearl visible in the bottle but on the nail it gives a sort of inner glow almost, no Frosty the Snowman or anything creepy here!!

OPI Amazon...Amazoff (OPI Brazil Collection Spring/Summer 2014)

Day three: OPI Amazon...Amazoff.
The dark one out of the Brazil Collection: it's a green teal or a teal green with slight silver pearl/shimmer.
And *spoiler alert* it is a BIG, BIG, BIG stainer, so triple up on base coat!

This was two easy coats. Although I was a bit hesitant about this shade being possibly to harsh on me...I liked it a lot and I found it not unflattering at all.

OPI - Who Needs A Prince

I am into the neutrals these days....bear with me it'll pass ;-)

Today it is OPI - Who Needs A Prince? (OPI Princess Charming Collection 2009). I find this name the coolest ever!
The colour is whitish jelly with a pink/red pearl shimmer: The red shimmer makes it look light pink...which it is not! I did two layers but I should have used three, to make it more opaque and squishy and less streaky.

Here it is:

The conclusion: I like this shade. It's a bit streaky but at three coats it will be OK. The pearly shimmer in these transparent shades (like also OPI At First Sight) makes them a bit more interesting. Perhaps I should try these for a nice glitter sandwich......
