OPI - Do You Have This Color In Stock-holm? (Nordic Collection, autumn 2014) and OPI - Comet in the Sky (Gwen Stefani Collection, Christmas 2014)

I had some serious doubts about posting Do You Have This Color in Stock-holm? My camera just does not like blues and purples, no matter what I do with the settings, all blues and purples look alike and completely washed out!?
But that being what it is and I hope it will still show, in a way, the lovely combination between DYHTCIS and Comet in the Sky.

First up is DYHTCIS au naturel.
Naturally it reminded me of OPI Eurso Euro and I had the same problem with it as well. The colour looks sort of really intense and saturated when you see swatches on the internet, but then in real life it is way darker and less intense. It's weird, or maybe it's just me.....

Then I received OPI Comet in the Sky in the mail....and I just could not resist....I had the slab it on immediately. Comet is such a lovely topper; it has ultra large black hexes and smaller ones in three sizes AND there are these large transparent iridescent hexes (love those) with friends in two smaller sizes all in a clear base.

Then I tried to persuade my camera to show the familiarity between Eurso Euro and DYHTCIS.....
They are sisters alright,  DYHTCIS is the purple sister and Eurso Euro the blue one.
I also took out Orly Saturated, Sation Miss Emo Shun All and L'Oreal nr 829 but they all had more red in them then DYHTCIS. Orly the least red (and this one was most saturated and intense) and the L'Oreal had the most (and was the least saturated and intense, it needed 4 coats to reach this intensity)

OPI - My Dogsled is a Hybrid (Nordic Collection autumn 2014) and Elevation Polish - Plumeria (Heights of Hawaii Collection, January 2014)

When I bought OPI My Dogsled is a Hybrid, i had the impression it would be a mint. But it isn't it's a light jade or perhaps a minted jade (can one say such a thing?). It's a lovely intense colour, a happy and bright note for autumn: I like it!

And just because the combination looked so lovely I added a coat of Elevation Polish Plumeria, an all circle glitter topper with blue shimmer in it's transparent base.

My dogsled was very pigmented and needed only two coats (if you are lucky perhaps just one), it dried very quickly so it's self leveling capacities were not spectacular: work fast and don't fiddle.

Plumeria was very thick and it was hard to place the big glitters. So I did as Elevation Polish says on the website: "To achieve more glitter per nail, dunk brush in polish, swipe brush on the inside neck of the bottle, grab the circle glitters from the inside neck and apply directly to the nail." For the grabbing a used a sate pin.

I think the end result is lovely: the blue shimmer stands out just enough and the soft colours of the glitter compliment the green perfectly.
